What we collect
Nothing, through the app. AirCursor has no accounts, analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking, and it never sends data to a server operated by us or anyone else.
What stays on your devices
To work, AirCursor keeps a few things on your iPad and Mac. None of it leaves the two devices.
- Settings such as cursor mode, speed, pressure and mapped areas.
- Pairing keys , stored in the Keychain, so your devices recognize each other.
- Paired devices : each device's name, when it paired and last connected, the connection style, and on the iPad a picture of each paired Mac.
Forgetting a device removes its details. Deleting the app removes everything.
How your devices talk
Your iPad connects straight to your Mac over a cable, your local network or Bluetooth. Every connection is end‑to‑end encrypted with keys only your two devices hold, and AirCursor refuses devices that haven't been paired with a code.
Neither app touches the network or Bluetooth until you choose a connection style.
Permissions
| Device | Permission | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mac | Accessibility (pointer control) | To move the pointer, click and scroll. AirCursor doesn't read other apps' content. |
| Both | Local Network | To find and connect to your other device. |
| Both | Bluetooth | For the Bluetooth and Automatic styles. |
| Mac | Notifications (optional) | To tell you when a connection drops in the background. |
This website and feedback
This site doesn't use cookies or analytics. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the request.
When you send feedback, we receive what you type into the form, your email address so we can reply, and the device details you choose to include. We use it only to answer you and improve AirCursor, and we delete it once it's no longer needed. Messages are delivered through Formspree , which processes them on our behalf.
Purchases
Downloads and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. AirCursor checks with the App Store, on your device, which version you first downloaded.
Children
AirCursor collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
